Express Entry is the system through which permanent residents of Canada who are part of the Economic category are selected. Under this system, applications for permanent residence are handled by those who meet the requirements of the Skilled Workers, Specialized Occupations, Canadian Experience and some categories of Provincial Nomination programs.
Candidates for permanent residence are selected by the Canadian Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, every 2 or 3 weeks, based on the score achieved by each profile.
The score is assigned according to age, educational level, command of the official languages of Canada and work experience inside and outside of Canada. Some factors give additional points, such as having resident siblings or Canadian citizens, having a job offer endorsed by the Department of Labor and Social Development (ESDC), being fluent in both languages, having studied in Canada or having e-support. a province through a Provincial Nomination.
The candidate must demonstrate that they have at least 1 year of continuous and paid qualified work experience, a minimum level of 7 in English or French in the Canadian standard and 67 points in a scaling of 100. This score is awarded based on age, the educational level, the number of years of work experience, the command of the official languages of Canada and if the candidate has relatives in Canada or has a job offer. Some factors, such as the level of language and family members of the spouse or partner in Canada, could contribute points to the profile.
